Updating harmony remote
In 15-odd years of reviewing TV and home theater equipment, the one thing I always tell people to buy is a "good universal remote." And by that I now mean the Harmony Companion, the best remote for the money I've ever used. The 0 price tag is steep for a home theater accessory, especially when other universal remotes are available for much less, but if you have a relatively complex home theater system -- say, four or more devices -- it's worth it.The Companion clicker builds upon the superb Harmony Smart Control with better button placement and dedicated keys for home control systems, like Philips Hue lighting and Nest thermostats.
Combine home entertainment—TVs, stereos, cable/satellite set-top boxes, and game consoles—with home automation—connected lights, locks, blinds, thermostats, sensors, and more. CUSTOMER SUPPORT• We are unable to provide support through postings made on the App Store• Visit our online support articles at support.myharmony.com/en/• Join our online support community at forums. There is nothing easy this app does.Nothing in the menus are where you think it would be and the app has to sync every time you open it.In that time I can just walk over and pick up the actual harmony remote. Clunky, very difficult to use even for someone who understands technology quite well.
